Who Killed Amanda Palmer

The lovely Amanda Palmer of the Dresden Dolls will be releasing a solo album entitled Who Killed Amanda Palmer on September 16th. Now, last week, she released the album version of "Astronaut" (which can be heard on her MySpace) and though I love it, I wasn't completely blown away and I've been waiting patiently until I could post about this track - the brilliantness that is "Guitar Hero". I heard it a few weeks ago through means that I probably shouldn't mention but she has just released the final version for download and it is crazy and intense and aggressive, basically everything that you could ask for from an AP original. So, on the widget below, click on the "Guitar Hero" tab and you should see a download link which will let you download a great quality 192kbps mp3 of the song. Go!

Update: You can now also download "Leeds United", the first single, from this nifty little widget. Just click on the "Audio Downloads" tab and you should be able to grab both songs. If it's not working for you for some reason, I already uploaded "Guitar Hero" in a reply and can do the same with "Leeds United", if need be.

P.S. This has nothing to do with this post, but this is something that's really bugging me, so if any of you guys have Last.fm accounts, do me a favor. Go to the Lydia images page and vote for a more recent picture! Preferably this one since it's the only one that features the current line-up but as long as it's not one of the really old ones (this, this, or this - vote thumbs down on those) it's fine. They just need an up-to-date image, damn it, and apparently there aren't enough fans to get one as the default!
