So, in honor of last night's Oscars ceremony - which I surprisingly thought were decently interesting this year - here are a handful of songs that work well for the occasion.

First, a few that go hand-in-hand with some of the winners (all very deserving, in my opinion):

• Édith Piaf – La Vie en Rose (La Vie en Rose: Actress in a Leading Role, Marion Cotillard; Achievement in Makeup, Didier Lavergne & Jan Archibald)

And here are a few that have a general actor/movie theme to them:

• Bright Eyes - Method Acting
• Carissa's Wierd - Low Budget Slow Motion Soundtrack Song for the Leaving Scene
• Eisley - Like the Actors
• Mates of State - For the Actor
• Shannon Wright - They'll Kill the Actor in the End
