Arcade Fire - In the Backseat

First of all, of course I'm drawn to the female-led song, heh. Typical of me. Second of all, somewhere along the line, I decided that I would probably hate this band, partly based on a very small amount of songs I'd heard, but mostly based on the fact that they've gotten so much hype and I often find myself unable to connect with a lot of these bands that everyone and their mother seems to adore. Moral of the story: I think I actually am growing to like them. And this song completely slays me. Since hearing it, I haven't been able to listen to it less than three times in a row before going on to something else. The strings are stunning which is important because orgasmic string arrangements are one of my many weaknesses. The best part of the song though is from about 2:47-3:47; Regine's vocals all through there are insanely awesome. I could probably just listen to that one minute of the song over and over for hours without getting tired of it. It's absolute perfection, I swear.
